A brief introduction to CLASSIQUE: CLASSIQUE was founded in October 2005 by Paul Morrell. In the last few years Paul has become a very respected DJ and Producer and has developed Classique events from an initial concept monthly party, to a fully realized Arena scale clubbing brand. Hosting lavish events at an array of venues across the UK has allowed Classique to build an unprecedented guest list of artists that include pioneers of the dance music genre. Such artists gracing the Classique turntables on a regular basis have included Paul Oakenfold, Mauro Picotto, Judge Jules, Richard Durand, Lisa Lashes, Danny Rampling and Boy George to name but a few. In order to cater for more diverse musical tastes, Classique also refuses to be pigeonholed into one specific sub-genre, instead preferring to cater for a cross section of clubbers including lovers of Electro house, Funky, Hard house and of course Trance. Starting in October 2008 John Saxon comes onboard to help with organisation and planning on a permanent basis, after having already helped Paul with the brand for some time. John will take care of all promotion, pr, and general enquiries for the events and is personally responsible for bookings and representation of Paul, as a dj and producer. 2009 also sees the exclusive signing of 3 new highly prestigious resident DJs to the Classique banner, breathing new life into the explosive club environments already created by Classique. Firstly, the legendary John Kelly will play for Classique at all of our venues in 2009, proving his unrivaled mixing ability and tune selection to a fresh audience of UK clubbers. Secondly hard house pioneer Andy Farley joins Classique for a second year to provide the slightly edgier & tougher sound requested by a number of our loyal following. Finally Perfecto records freshest signing Nat Monday, will also don the Classique decks, providing the final element of our newly revitalized DJ lineup. Nat is a truly immense signing, and has also played for Classique on of previous occasions. With new venues, new Djs, a new a design and organisation concept capable of rivaling any international clubbing institution, Classique is sure to set a president for UK clubbing in 2009.
